Rhyd Heritage is a UK archaeological and heritage services provider. Founded in 2025 by Dr E. A. Govier (PhD Archaeology, ACiFA, FHEA). Rhyd Heritage offers a range of above and below ground services, our current focus is on Built Heritage in South West England and Wales (Cymru).
Rhyd Heritage bridges the gap between academic and commercial archaeology. We can provide archaeological illustration and innovative contemporary approaches to outreach and engagement.
Rhyd Heritage offers expertise in Heritage and Conservation principles. All of our research is conducted by PhD holding Archaeologists with CiFA accreditation, fieldwork experience, and a track record of report writing for a range of Heritage Assets.

Once the contract has been signed we aim to deliver the report to the client within 10 working days once we have received HER data from the relevant County council. If the report will take longer than this time frame we will detail the date of delivery to the client before we enter a contractual agreement.

Prices vary depending on multiple factors such as the size of the project undertaken, the nature of the suggested changes, the density of heritage assets in the locality (for example). Heritage Impact Assessments are priced from £1800 – £2500 depending on location, complexity of project and size of site.

We will provide a PDF document that meets the expectations of the NPPF, Historic England / CADW, and the relevant Local Authority.
